We recieved this patio set as a wedding gift and couldn't be happier with it, at least so far (we've had it for about 3 weeks). I was originally going to give it 4 stars, but due to excellent customer service, I've decided it deserves an extra star (if the customer service had been poor, I almost definitely would have taken away a star, so it makes sense to give them an extra one in this case!)
The set is pretty much as described, so I won't go into too much detail on that. The chairs arrive already assembled, and fold fairly flat. The backs recline by lifting the arms a little way and letting it go back into the next position (5 positions total). The table required some assembly, which wasn't too difficult - not everything is as perfectly fitted as I might hope, but the two of us were able to assemble it in half an hour or so. It does take some muscle to screw some of the screws in all the way, and, though I'm not a weakling and have assembled items of furniture on my own before, my husband needed to take over most of those.
I will disagree with the reviewer who said that making it larger or smaller requires turning it over and removing a screw. On the contrary, it couldn't be easier. There are clips to be undone on the underside of the table (very easy to clip/unclip), the table has to be pulled apart (even when making it smaller, as little pegs poke out of the sides and interlock, like on a dining table), and then the center section has to be folded or unfolded. It is attached to a swivelling bar, so it never comes completely out of the table, and you just have to flip it over the right way to rest on some cross pieces, if you want to fold it away, then slide the top of the table shut over it. The legs don't even have to move in order to slide the top open or shut. It's very simple and very convenient.
Our one problem was that two of the chairs had cracks in them - one just a small crack in a back slat, but the other a crack all the way through one of the legs, which would have made it unsafe to sit on. I contacted Amazon, who immediately offered to exchange the whole set. We didn't want to do that, though, since we already had the table assembled, everything unpacked, etc. They recommended, then, contacting the company. I emailed the company and explained the problem. The next day I heard back from them saying that they'd be sending two replacement chairs. Two days later, the chairs arrived! Excellent custmer service! Thank you, Vifah!
